
Home Kalon, Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang and Chimey Rigzen, Secretary of Department of Home during a meeting with Chief Secretary Shri V.C Pharka, Government of Himachal Pradesh, India at Shimla.
Shimla: Home Kalon of the Central Tibetan Administration, Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang called on the Chief Secretary, Shri V.C Pharka, Government of Himachal Pradesh, in his chamber at 10.30 am on 6 September at Shimla.
Kalon submitted an 11 page petition on the grievances of 14 Tibetan Settlements and Cluster in the state of Himachal including issues pending from a similar meeting held with the Chief Secretary on 29 July 2013.
The Chief Secretary, positively received the petition and immediately called the concerned Deputy Commissioner (DC’s) and instructed that issues related to Tibetans should be addressed by meeting with the respective settlement officers in the area.
He also advised the Department of Home, CTA to seek feedback from the settlement officers on the pending issues after meeting with the DC’s and submit them through the Settlement officer, Shimla for further submission to the office of Chief Secretary.
He assured that the issues will be addressed by the State government accordingly.
Home Kalon thanked the State Government for its unwavering support and presented a souvenir to the Chief Secretary, as a gesture of gratitude.
