Finance Secretary to Attend Tibetan Business Association Meeting

Dharamshala: The Tibetan Chamber of Commerce (TCC) will be organising a conference in Delhi and Bylakuppe in Karnataka state on 13 and 16 May respectively. The finance secretary Mr. Sonam Topgyal Khorlatsang will be the guest of honour in Delhi conference and he will also attend the other conference in Bylakuppe as the chief guest.
After the TCC event in Bylakuppe, he will visit all the Tibetan settlements in south India during which necessary guidelines will be issued to Regional Tibetan Freedom Movement offices to ensure smooth functioning of the offices.
Besides, he will make a presentation of the CTA budget to the Welfare Officer, heads of non-governmental organisations and camp leaders and explain to them about the successful collection of the voluntary contribution.
His last stopover will be in Bangalore on 29 June.
On 11 March, finance secretary attended a similar conference in Kathmandu, Nepal, organised by the TCC. The purpose of the conference was to create awareness on the existence and objectives of the TCC and to increase its membership.
More than 60 businessmen turned up for the event. It was successful both in terms of the participation and new registration to the organisation.
The TCC is an association of Tibetan businessmen. This association was established in June 2005 during the first business conference organised by the Finance Department.
The main objective of this organisation is to promote the interest of its members. It also creates a platform where all the Tibetan businessmen could come together and share their experiences and knowledge.
