His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Visit to Mongolia

Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama arrived today in Mongolia’s capital Ulan Bator. As requested by the Mongolia-based Gadan ThekchenLing Monastery, which organises this visit, His Holiness the Dalai Lama has kindly consented to give teachings over there.
His Holiness will give teachings on 23 and 24 August. In the afternoon of 23 August, following his teaching, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will give a public talk.
On 25 August, His Holiness the Dalai Lama will confer Bhikshuka ordination. On 26 and 27 August, His Holiness will confer Hayagriva initiation.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will fly back to India via Japan on 28 August.
This is the 8th visit of His Holiness to Mongolia. His Holiness the Dalai Lama made his first visit there in 1979 and last visit in 2002, which was also organised by the Gadan ThekchenLing Monastery.
Gadan ThekchenLing is the largest Buddhist monastery and the centre of Buddhist learning in Mongolia.
