Washington: The two groups representing the North American Tibetan Association (NATA) and the former students of TCV School offered prayers for His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s long life a week ago, 26 October. After the ceremonial offerings were made, His Holiness affirmed in his key address to live for another 10-20 years.

As per the request of the Tenshug committee of NATA, His Holiness gave a reading on the ‘Inseparability of the Spiritual Master from Avalokiteshvara’ to the devotees. The tenshug committee of NATA  also distributed 3000 thangkas of Inseparability of the Spiritual Master from Avalokiteshvara, personally blessed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama to the participants of Tenshug.

Ngawang Chemi, Tenshug’s instructor, said in beaming pride that the participants of the Tenshug were grateful for the blessings accumulated.

The ‘Inseparability of the Spiritual Master from Avalokiteshvara’ was composed by His Holiness many years ago at the request of Assistant Cabinet Minister, Shankawa Gyurme Sonam Tobgyal, who, with sincere faith and offerings, asked His Holiness to write a simple and complete sadhana about the inseparability of Avalokiteshvara and himself.
