Dharamshala: As a part of the programs to strengthen and enhance the roles and responsibilities of Parent-Teacher Associations, the Department of Education, CTA organized virtual training for the members of 14 PTAs from 22 January to 8 March 2021.
A total number of 93 PTA members from three schools in Odisha, Paonta, Puruwala, Mainpat, Gothangaon, Chauntra, Sonada, Ravangla, Tenzingang, Bir, Tezu and Manali under Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society participated in the virtual training.
The resource persons were Mr. Buddha Kyab, Director and Mr. Kalsang Wangdu, Member of Manjushri Educational Services, Dharamsala.
During the training, participants were introduced to the PTA guidelines approved by the DOE with special emphasis on enhancing the roles and responsibilities of PTAs. They actively took part in the virtual discussion and activities organized by the two resource persons.
As a part of precautionary measure to curb the spread of COVID-19, the trainings were conducted virtually but as per the request made by the PTA of Mewoen Tsuglag Petoen School, the DOE organized onsite training for their members in the DOE conference hall on 12 March 2021.
