Ngaba (Ch: Aba) County, Ngaba “TAP”, Amdo Province (incorporated into the Chinese province of Sichuan) – Three youths arrested for their suspected involvement in March protests
County Public Security Bureau (PSB) arrested Jampel and Lama, an elder
and a younger son from Tarring family, and Jigme from Gaenyug family,
in Charuwa village, Cha township, Ngaba county on 11 August for their
suspected involvement in March protests.

Karze (Ch: Ganzi) County, Karze “TAP”, Kham Province (incorporated into the Chinese province of Sichuan) – A nun severely beaten for merely shouting slogans at the county government office
At around 8 a.m. on 10 August, People’s Armed Police severely
beat and then arrested Dolma Yangzom (about 34), a nun from Tapon
family in Lhopa village, Karze county, for shouting slogans such as
“His Holiness the Dalai Lama must be invited to Tibet, the political
prisoners including His Serenity Panchen Lama must be released
immediately” at the county government office.

Sera Monastery, near Lhasa, “TAR” – Few additional names of monks arrested from Sera monastery in March can be confirmed
On 10 March, PSB arrested a group of monks from Sera monastery
for carrying out a peaceful protest in Lhasa. They are originally from
Wonpo Monastery in Zachukha, Sershul county (Ch: Shiqu), Karze “TAP”,
but studying at Sera Monastery.
As a result of their arrest, other monks peacefully protested
at their monastery and demanded the release of all those monks.
However, many of them were also arrested, and their whereabouts remain
unknown. Few names among them can now be confirmed. They are Lobsang
Jampel (elder one, 46), Lobsang Jampel (younger one, 36), Lobsang
Jamyang (43), Lobsang Jampa (42), Gyaltsen Norbu (29), and Thongga
(27), all monks from Othok monastery in Nyagchu county (Ch: Yajiang),
Karze “TAP”.
Karma Choejor and Drongpo Rabten, both from Jangkar monastery
in Choegha village, Daedhar township, Bathang (Ch: Batang) county,
Karze “TAP”, were also arrested during their protest in Lhasa at the
end of March. Their whereabouts also remain unknown.
