Shillong, Meghalaya: The Shillong Tibetan Settlement Office held an official handing and taking over ceremony between the out-going Settlement Officer Tenzin Samten and Incoming Settlement Officer Tsering Dorjee on 24 November 2025.

Rapten Tsering, the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Tenzingang, Arunachal Pradesh, attended the formal handing over ceremony as an official witness representing the Department of Home, CTA. During the transition, the handing over of office documents, Assets and accounts were formally exchanged between the out-going and new Settlement Officers. Later, a formal seat exchanging ceremony was held to mark the transition of authority in the presence of official witness from Department of Home and members from the local Tibetan Associations.

Later in the evening of the same day, the handing over ceremony concluded with address to the public gathering by both the out-going and incoming Settlement Officers, along with the official witness.
