Mundgod: The former Tibetan Settlement Officer of Hunsur Rabgyaling, Deputy Secretary Tenzin Dhadon, assumed charge as the new Tibetan Settlement Officer of Doeguling Tibetan Settlement in Mundgod from outgoing Settlement Officer Lhakpa Dolma.

On 25 September 2024, the incoming and outgoing Settlement Officers exchanged official documents and stationaries. Later that afternoon, the duo visited local officials and their offices to formally introduce the new Settlement Officer.

A brief ceremony was held on the subsequent day to mark the transition of charge in the presence of official witness and local dignitaries from both the Indian and Tibetan communities. Both Settlement Officers, along with a representative from the Department of Home, addressed the gathering.

As the representative of the Department of Home, Chief Representative Officer of the South Zone, Jigme Tsultrim, oversaw the handover process over the two-day event.
