6 Feb 2023, New Delhi: The two-day national executive meeting of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch (BTSM) was held at Kailash Mansarovar Bhawan, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, on 4 and 5 February 2023. The meeting was presided over under the presence of Dr Indresh Kumar, a senior campaigner of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and guide of the Manch.
Inaugurating the meeting and welcoming the delegates from all over the country, BTSM National General Secretary Shri Pankaj Goyal said there is a need for public awareness on a large scale to expose a deceitful country like China in the whole world. I am happy that the workers of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch are doing the work of public awareness with great enthusiasm.
Addressing the meeting, Dr Indresh Kumar said that China is such a country which has nothing to do with humanity. It keeps on giving tension to many countries of the world in some form or the other. Nothing can be expected of humanity from China. He further mentioned that from 5 May 2023, 25 years of the establishment of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch are about to be completed, and from this day, the silver jubilee year of the forum will begin. The silver jubilee year will start from Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh and will also end on 5 May 2024 at Dharamshala itself. Meanwhile, many types of programs will be organized throughout the country to raise awareness of Tibet and strengthen the Tibetan cause.
In this inaugural session, Acharya Yeshi Yashi Phuntsok, Former Deputy Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and National Saint Mahamandaleshwar Swami Dr Abhijitanand Ji Maharaj, also expressed their views.
Thanking all the delegates who attended the inaugural session, National Working President of the Manch, Sardar Harjit Singh Grewal, said that we have to fulfil the guidelines given by Honorable Indresh as a mission to free Tibet.
ITCO Coordinator highlighted the petition campaign started by V-TAG, DIIR CTA, which concerns shutting down the colonial boarding schools being implemented by the Chinese government in Tibet. She appealed to all the participants to sign the petition and share the same with other members.
At the concluding session of the two-day national executive meeting, Kalon Gyari Dolma, Department of Security, Central Tibetan Administration and Smt. Rinchen Lhamo, Member, National Commission for Minorities, Govt. of India, joined Dr Indresh Kumar and other executive members of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch.
Addressing the session, Dr Indresh Kumar said that we have to give more speed to the public awareness campaign against the nefarious designs of China by being alert at every level. Taking a pledge, we all have to take the holy water of Kailash Mansarovar to every district and send a strong message to China that Kailash Mansarovar will remain free. Along with this, the way for the freedom of Tibet will be paved. For this, there is a need to reach every section of society.
Kalon Gyari Dolma addressing the session, expressed her thanks to Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch, its executive members and all its members for the untiring support and work for Tibet and Tibetans on behalf of the Central Tibetan Administration and all Tibetans. She also offered her congratulations on the completion of 25 years of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch and hopes for the continued support of the Manch for Tibet and Tibetans.
Smt. Rinchen Lhamo, in her brief address at the session, thanked Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch for inviting her to the two-day national executive meeting and was glad to know about the Manch’s work and support for Tibet and Tibetans. She expressed her full support to the Manch in their endeavours.
Dr K. C. Agnihotri, Shri Raju and Shri Chandresh Agrawal also addressed the concluding session.
At the end, National General Secretary of the Manch Shri Pankaj Goyal said that with a view to strengthen the organization and to make the silver jubilee year a topic of discussion among the masses, discussions were held in detail in the meetings organized according to the regions and departments. All the members of Bharat Tibbat Sahyog Manch took a pledge to fully live up to the expectations of Honorable Indresh Kumar ji to free Tibet.
To make the local public aware of Tibet, an awareness yatra was also taken out in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad, by the delegates of the meeting with chants of Bharat Mata Ki Jai, Vande Mataram, Jai Bharat and Jai Tibbat.
At the end of the two-day national executive meeting, colourful cultural programs were presented by school children.
The two-day national executive meeting had the presence of Patron Dr Kuldeep Chandra Agnihotri, National Working President Sardar Harjit Singh Grewal, National Vice President Master Mohan Lal, Chandra Shekhar Sahu, Swami Divyanand Maharaj, National Minister Neera Shastri, Shivakant Tiwari, Vijay Sharma, Ramkishore Pasari, Nursing Mengji, Shri Pramod Goyal, Shri Anil Monga and 350 delegates from all over the country.
India Tibet Coordination Office’s Coordinator Incharge Tashi Dekyi and staff, Tibetan Youth Congress President Gonpo Dhundup and Vice President Tsering Chomphel, and Tibetan Women Association Vice President Tsering Dolma also attended the two-day meeting.
