Dharamshala:In the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the HP Forest Sports and Duty Meet, Office of the Chief Conservator of Forests, Dharamshala, invited the artistes of Tibetan Institute of Performing Arts (TIPA) to perform at both the opening and closing ceremonies, held from 29 Sept to 1 October, 2024. The performance featured a selection of Tibetan folk dances led by the Artistic Director of the institute. The guest of honour was Surendra Singh Thakur, the CPS officer of the Himachal State Forestry Department, along with other dignitaries and local people who attended the event.
At the same time, the Kangra District Administration organised a large-scale celebration of the Kangra Carnival in order to celebrate the cultural diversity of the state and to entertain tourists here in the district.
Our artistes offered cultural performances at the opening ceremony on 28 September and again on the evening of 1 October, sharing the stage with renowned Indian performers and local talent. The events were attended by thousands of audience members, cheering the artistes in full enthusiasm.
Thousands of spectators attended the performances, cheering enthusiastically. Among the attendees were officials from the District Administration, local residents, and visiting tourists. These events, held near the headquarters of the Tibetan exile administration, offered an opportunity to highlight the distinct cultural heritage of Tibet while fostering closer relations between the state government and the Tibetan community in Himachal Pradesh.
