
Toulouse, France: The 67th commemoration of Tibetan National Uprising Day was held in Toulouse on 10 March 2026. The event was organised by Institut Vajra Yogini, Nalanda Monastery, and the local Tibetan community.
At the request of the Tibetan Community President, the Tibetan national flag was hoisted in front of the Lavaur Mairie (City Hall). Bernard Carayon, Mayor of Lavaur, along with several colleagues, attended the anniversary and delivered a speech expressing support and solidarity with the Tibetan people.
Following the ceremony, the Tibetan community organised a peace march through the city of Toulouse, in which a large number of Tibetans and supporters participated.
In Amiens, Tibetan support groups and the Tibetan community organised a protest event on 11 March 2026 in front of the Amiens City Hall.
Thupten Tsering, coordinator of the Tibetan community, was invited as a guest speaker and spoke about the latest situation inside Tibet and the Tibetan government in Exile. During the event, the Tibetan national flag was officially hoisted at the town hall.
Madam Nedjma Ben Mokhtar, Deputy Mayor representing Hubert de Jenlis, Mayor of Amiens, attended the ceremony and delivered remarks in support of the Tibetan cause. Jean-Luc Jeugniaux, Mayor of Vers-sur-Selle, also delivered a supportive speech.
During the programme, Ama Youlande spoke about the significance of commemorating the Tibetan National Uprising Day. François Henot read the official statement of the Kashag in French. After the speeches, participants conducted a peaceful march through the city of Amiens.
In the evening, Ama Youlande and François Henot organised a free screening of the documentary Wisdom of Happiness for both local residents and members of the Tibetan community.
In Clermont-Ferrand, Jamyang Dhargyal and members of the Tibetan community met with the mayors of Clermont-Ferrand and Saint-Genès-Champanelle.
During the meeting, they presented the latest book of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to the mayors as a gesture of respect and appreciation. The Tibetan national flag was also hoisted at the respective town halls in solidarity with the Tibetan people.
