Dharamshala: Tibetan settlements across India, including Dharamshala, have participated in observing World Hypertension Day on 17 May 2023. Based on this year’s World Hypertension Day theme “Measure your blood pressure accurately, control it, live longer”, each settlement will be carrying out various activities i.e. awareness talk, free basic health check-ups, etc in schools and settlements.

In Dharamshala, a panel discussion on Hypertension related FAQ was launched on the day with guest panel Dr Sonam Topgyal from Delek Hospital.

The activities have been funded by USAID through the Department of Health, CTA and the Tibet fund.
