Dharamshala: The enthronement ceremony of the 105th Gaden Tripa, Sharpa Choeje Rinpoche Jetsun Lobsang Dorjee Pelsangpo, was held at Gaden Lachi on 26 November 2024. This was followed by a long-life prayer offering for both the 105th Gaden Tripa Jetsun Lobsang Dorjee Pelsangpo and the 104th Gaden Tripa Jetsun Lobsang Tenzin Pelsangpo at the Ganden Tritok Khang on 27 November 2024. The long-life prayers were jointly organised by the International Gelug Foundation, the North America Gelug Monlam Committee, and the Central Tibetan Administration.
On 28 November 2024, Parliamentarian Geshe Lharampa Gowo Lobsang Phende officially attended the enthronement ceremony of the 105th Gaden Tripa at Drepung Khemang Loseling Monastery. The ceremony was also attended by other parliamentarians, including Geshe Lharampa Atuk Tseten, Lopon Thupten Gyaltsen, Khenpo Kada Ngedup Sonam, Konchok Yangphel, and Choephel Thupten.
The ceremony was also graced by Khenpos (abbot) of monastic seats; Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile; Yangten Rinpoche, Secretary of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama; and other dignitaries.
Following the enthronement, Parliamentarians Geshe Lharampa Atuk Tseten and Geshe Lharampa Gowo Lobsang Phende were granted an audience with Gaden Trisur, the 104th Gaden Tripa, and paid their respects as the Gaden Trisur departed for Sera Monastery. During the audience, the parliamentarians expressed their deep gratitude to the Rinpoche for his dedicated service to the Dharma, especially within the Gelugpa tradition, and offered prayers for his long life.
Later, the MPs were granted an audience with Sermey Khen Rinpoche, during which they sought his blessings. In the course of their meeting, Sermey Khen Rinpoche advised the parliamentarians to follow the guidance of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and to work with sincerity and integrity for the common cause of Tibet.
