Gangtok: In solidarity with the state government and the nationwide fight against the Wuhan-originated coronavirus pandemic, the Gangtok based Tibetan Buddhist monasteries came forward to contribute to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).

The Zurmang Shedup Choekhorling Monastery at Lingdum, Sikkim contributed Rs. 4,00,000 towards CMRF. The cheque was presented to Honorable Chief Minister Sh. Prem Singh Tamang by Tsewang Dorjee, Tsewang Nyima and Lobsang on behalf of Zurmang Garwang Rinpoche.

His Eminence Tingkye Gonjang Rinpoche of Gonjang Monastery, Bojoghari with the CM.

His Eminence Tingkye Gonjang Rinpoche of Gonjang Monastery, Bojoghari, Sikkim contributed Rs 1,50,000 towards CMRF.

Sakhya Ngor Choetsok, Rongay, Sikkim distributed essential food supplies worth Rs. 2,00,000 to 150 families living in Rongay, Chongay, Nathok and from 2nd Mile to 4th Mile in East Sikkim.

His Eminence Tritrul Jampa Kalden and Chakzoe Dhondup Wangyal of Sera Jey Drophenling Monastery, Chandmari, Gangtok contributed Rs. 30,000 to Shri. Sonam Lama, Hon. Minister of Ecclesiastical.
