Brasília: The two-day Vipassana meditation retreat, led by the Khenpo Samdup Rinpoche who has guided the participants on profound practice of mindfulness, at Tibet House Brasil was concluded on 28 April 2024.
A total of 65 participants and later 15 more participants from other Sangha joined with the purpose of further deepening their understanding of meditation and enriching the retreat with their diverse perspectives and experience.
The two-day Vipassana meditation retreat was actively proceeded with the Khenpo Samdup Rinpochae’s invaluable teachings on the nature of the mind, the impermanence of existence, and the cultivation of compassion and wisdom.
The various impactful sessions includes the meditation sessions, discussion, and personal reflections, exploring the depths of their consciousness with the greater clarity and insights. During each session’s break, a musical band led by Ana Clara Cenemo, Renato Dias, and Benny Oyama played melodious Mantras. The participants enjoyed the different mantras with a western tune, enhancing their experience.
With that, the final session concluded efficiently with a renewed sense of purpose and clarity, that every participants with a notable transformation emerged to carry the teaching of Vipassana in their daily lives.
The participants expressed their gratitude to Khenpo for his guidance and wisdom during the Q&A session.
Khenpo Samdup Rinponche was born in Tibet and received refuge vows from Kyabje Garchen Rinpoche when he was only 7 years old. At the age of 12, he became a Buddhist monk. He had the opportunity to receive Dzogchen teachings from the great masters Khenpo Munsel and Khenpo Jigme Phuntsok. Khenpo Samdup Rinponche is a graduate of the Dzogsar Shedra Institute, Bir, and taught for 5 years at Drikung Kagyu College, Dehradun. Today, he serves as the spiritual director of the Gar Drolma Center in Dayton, OH 45420, United States.
