WASHINGTON: The United States and India will resume high-level-engagement early next week with clouds relating t Pakistan-Afghanistan, China, and climate change hanging over a aggravating Covid-19 crisis.
US Secretary of State Anotny Blinken is heading out to the subcontinent this weekend, with a stopover in Kuwait thrown in, as geopolitical crises jostle for attention amid a resurgent pandemic that is frustrating countries across the world.
Asserting that India is “critical” country in the fight against he virus, Blinken pledged to help New Delhi accelerate vaccine production both for itself and rest of the world. He also said the US has millions of vaccines ready to go to India “when they finish their own process to bring them in”.
