Pokhara: The Tashiling Tibetan Settlement Office in Pokhara held official handing and taking over ceremony between its outgoing Tibetan Settlement Officer (TSO) Yeshi Choedon and incoming TSO Tenzin Palden on 13 November 2024.

TSO Tashi Tsetan from Tashi Palkhiel officiated the ceremony as the official witness, representing the Department of Home, Central Tibetan Administration (CTA).

During the ceremony, the outgoing and incoming TSOs exchanged official documents and inventories related to the office and its jurisdictional areas, which include Manang, Tsum, Nubri, and Samdo.

Following the successful completion of the handover, a formal gathering was held on 15 November in the presence of the Presidents of the Local Tibetan Assembly and the Regional Chapter of the Tibetan Freedom Movement, a representative from the local Tibetan monastery, the Principal of the local Tibetan S.O.S. school, as well as heads of the local Tibetan Mentseekhang branch, the handicraft centre, and other Tibetan CSOs.

At the gathering, both the outgoing and incoming TSOs, along with other attendees, addressed the audience and provided updates on the completion of the charge transfer.
