
Dharamshala: A new wave of trainers are emerging within the Central Tibetan Administration as 22 staff members from various departments successfully completed Phase II of the Training of Trainers on Curriculum Design and Development on 25 October 2024. This intensive three-day workshop, aimed at equipping future trainers to effectively onboard new recruits, concluded recently with an impressive display of participation and creativity.
Conducted by Brian Bullock, Managing Director of Worldwide Learning and Professional Development at the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), the training emphasised Adult Learning Theory and best practices. Participants engaged deeply in key areas, including Training Needs Analysis, Training Planning, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, along with impactful facilitation techniques.
Kasur (former minister) Karma Yeshi, the Chairman of the Public Service Commission, Central Tibetan Administration, delivered the concluding remarks. He expressed his high hopes for the civil servants and future leaders of the organisation. He noted that the training came at a crucial time and commended the active engagement of all participants, underscoring the Public Service Commission’s commitment to fostering a knowledgeable workforce.
The final training day featured presentations from participants who showcased the training modules they had developed. Their innovative approaches demonstrated the practical application of concepts learned throughout the workshop.
“This training has been an invaluable experience,” said one participant. “It not only equipped us with essential skills but also inspired us to think creatively about how we can best train our new recruits.”
