TOKYO: Japanese and members of the Tibetan community today took part in a special prayer service held for the long life of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in Gokokuji Temple, Japan on 11 November.
The prayer service was led by Khenchen Rinpoche and Tibetan monks.
The prayer service was organised in accordance with the requests from Buddhist devotees and well-wishers from Korea, Mongolia and Japan who usually attend His Holiness’s annual teachings in Japan.
Addressing the prayer gathering, Mr Lungtok, Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, thanked the Japanese people for their profound respect for His Holiness the Dalai Lama and their deep interest in Tibetan Buddhism and culture. He appealed for continued support in the future.
