New Delhi: Sikyong Penpa Tsering of the Central Tibetan Administration embarked on a three-day official engagement in Delhi, covering a series of visits to Tibetan offices and institutions.
As part of his first-day engagement in Delhi, Sikyong visited the Sherig Parkhang, Tibetan Homes Foundation’s Guest House and the Mentseekhang (Nizamuddin). He also visited the Delhi Bureau staff’s residential and Home department building.
Sikyong was accompanied by Secretary Dhondup Gyalpo, the Bureau of HH the Dalai Lama and its staff.
The next day, Sikyong met with trustees of the Foundation of Nonviolent Alternatives OP Tandon, Rebon Banerjee Dhar, and research associate Tenzing Dhamdul.
Today, Sikyong is scheduled to visit Tibet House in the morning, followed by a visit to Samyeling Tibetan settlement in Majnu ka Tilla to attend the Tibetan Festival organised Tibetan Chamber of Commerce. In the evening, he will visit Tibetan Youth Hostel in Rohini and interact with Tibetan college students.
