Washington: Sikyong Penpa Tsering on Thursday met with the heads of the PRM and USAID, two of the largest sources of funding received by CTA for the implementation of political and welfare programs in exile.
An in-depth discussion was held between Sikyong and the two to strategise future course of actions.
In the afternoon, Sikyong presided over a discussion on Tibet and China at the Washington-based Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS). He spoke on the topic- Tibet Matters: A litmus test for PRC’s commitment to international rule-based order which was attended by prominent Chinese scholars and researchers, including some notable press officials.
Following his talk at CSIS, Sikyong had a discussion about the situation and future policy of Tibet -China with a group of Chinese intellectuals, pro-democracy advocates, and students.
Among the key participants of the gathering organised by Chinese Liason Officer Tsultrim Gyatso were Yang Jianli, the President of the Washington-based Citizen Power Initiatives for China; Cai Xia, a Chinese dissident and former professor of the Party School of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China; Qing-Rui Wang, a Director of Woeser News Publication; Yu Chi, a Chinese engineer and photographer who recently displayed his photos of 2008 mass protest inside Tibet in DC, and some young participants of the white paper revolution.
