Dharamshala: Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay today inspected the quarantine facility arranged by the CTA task force for Wuhan-originated COVID-19 pandemic at the Tibetan Reception Centre in Khanyara and took stock of the essential services.
Sikyong was accompanied by Health Kalon Choekyong Wangchuk, who also chairs the CTA’s Health task force for COVID-19 along with Secretary Palden Dhondup, Education Secretary Karma Singey and Dr Tenzin Tsundue.
Dr Tenzin Tsundue briefed the Sikyong on the essential arrangements at the facility including necessary sanitisation of the facility, monitoring of those in quarantine and safety measures put in place to avoid contact among inmates.
Sikyong instructed the task force and the Director of the Reception centre to ensure full prevention and preparedness in their responses.
Before visiting the facility, Sikyong visited the headquarter of the Sambhota Tibetan Schools Society Sambhota and had an hourlong meeting with the Director, Mr Tsering Dhondup. Sikyong also interacted with students and staff of the Sherab Gatsel Lobling school.
