Dharamshala: Secretary Tsering Dhondup of the Department of Finance, Central Tibetan Administration, met with approximately 230 lalas from Ludhiana and Delhi yesterday at the Sikyong Hall, CTA. 

The visitors had come to Dharamsala for an audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama earlier in the day, organised by the Tibetan Refugee Trader Association (TRTA) based in Ludhiana. 

During the meeting, Secretary Dhondup expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the lalas for their continued support and understanding towards Tibetan traders over the many years. He also promoted the Blue Book program, encouraging everyone present to support the initiative. He explained that the program not only strengthens the Tibetan movement but also helps improve the lives of Tibetans living in exile through the contributions it receives. 

The program concluded with the Department of Finance offering a traditional Tibetan scarf (khata) to all the lalas and TRTA members as a gesture of appreciation.
