Social and Resource Development Fund (SARD), Department of Finance, organised a special meeting and workshop of various partners involved in implementing the annual PRM project funded by the United States government. The meeting and workshop is being held at Nyatri Hall from January 16 to 19. 30 participants comprised of all the PRM stakeholders from CTA departments, Tibetan Children’s Village school, Tibetan Homes Foundation, Mussoorie, Tibetan Transit School, Snow Lion Foundation from Nepal and representatives from Tibet Fund participated in the meeting. Amongst the participants were Secretaries and senior staff of the departments of Education, Home, Health, Religion and Culture; and Secretary of the Tibetan Homes Foundation. The primary purpose of the gathering was to discuss the findings of program assessment that was recently undertaken, provide technical training to participants and redesign the program with a view to preparing a multi-year plan.
Kaydor Aukatsang, Chief Resilience officer/SARD Director, opened the meeting and emphasised the need for a more strategic and coherent framework for the PRM project with clear outcomes and better alignment with CTA’s Five Fifty vision. Chief Planning Officer Dr. Kunchok Tsundue briefed participants on the four days program schedule and the need for a result oriented projects from all the partners. He also shared some of the new project activities and ideas submitted in the form of a concept paper by all the network partners. Dr. Kunchok then met separately with each partner and reviewed the concept paper. Mr. Ajit Mani, SARD consultant, shared the findings of the PRM assessment based on visits to five settlements in India and two in Nepal. Mr. Mani then provided training on Logical Framework Approach (LFA).
SARD will use the assessment findings and the revised concept paper submitted by the implementing partners and prepare a new and multi-year plan for the PRM project.
