
Washington D.C: Representative Ngodup Tsering presided over the celebration of the anniversary of Tibetan weekend schools of NY & NJ on 22 June. The four Parliamentarians Geshe Monlam Tharchin, Ven. Lopon Thupten Gyaltsen Juchen Kunchok Choedon and Tsering Lhamo who are on a visit to Nation’s Capitol were the special guests.
While appreciating the efforts of the schools in cultivating Tibetan language skills to the children, he pointed to the challenges shouldered due to the Chinese regimes’ systematic strategy to wipe out the Tibetan language and religion; “These two represent Tibetan identity,” stated the Representative.
