Representative Ngodup Dongchung, Kasur Gyari Dolma among others attends the 1st death anniversary of late George Fernandes in New Delhi.

New Delhi: Representative Ngodup Dongchung of the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama attended the prayer meeting for late George Fernandes in New Delhi today.

Also in attendance were kasur Dolma Gyari, staff of Bureau of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the members of Local Tibetan Community led by Samyeling Tibetan Settlement Officer.  Today marks the first death anniversary of Former Indian Defense Minister George Fernandes, who had been a life-long staunch supporter of Tibet, at Prithviraj Road Cemetery in New Delhi. Representative Ngodup Dongchung also congratulated the family of late George Fernandes, who was posthumously awarded the prestigious Padma Vibhushan by the Government of India this year on the occasion of the 71st Republic Day.
