Bengaluru: On 2 December 2024, Public Service Commissioner of the Central Tibetan Administration, Karma Yeshi, addressed Tibetan college students in Bengaluru at the Tibetan Youth Hostel as part of his ongoing official outreach tour.
During the gathering, Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi provided an introduction to the Central Tibetan Administration and emphasised the importance of joining the civil service as an inherited responsibility for Tibetans. He also highlighted the urgent need to preserve and promote Tibetan cultural and linguistic heritage in the face of rising challenges.
Following his speech, the Public Service Commissioner engaged with the students during a Q&A session, addressing their queries and providing further insights.
Public Service Commissioner Karma Yeshi is also scheduled to undertake similar engagements with Tibetan college students in Mysore, Bylakuppe, and Delhi till 8 December. This tour aims to introduce Tibetan college students to the Central Tibetan Administration, explain the significance of civil service, explore opportunities for joining the civil service, and underscore the responsibility of Tibetans to preserve their language and culture.
