Dharamshala: Public Service Commission is organising a capacity building training program for the section officers and office superintendents at Himachal Pradesh Institute of Public Administration (HIPA) based in Shimla from 16-24 September. A total number of 24 CTA officials from 7 different Tibetan settlement offices are taking part in the training.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of HIPA, Shri C.P. Verma, Joint Director, Smt. Jyoti Rana, Course Director Shri Parvesh Sharma and senior faculties of HIPA.
Course director of HIPA welcomed all the participants and thanked the Public Service Commission for its long association with HIPA. He also detailed out the training module.
Secretary of Public Service Commission Tsering Yangkey extended her warm greetings and respect to the Director of HIPA and other dignitaries on the dais.
She said that she was happy and honoured to organise the training at the most prestigious institute of Himachal Pradesh and that she has had the opportunity to attend a training at HIPA twenty years ago.
She said that training and development are indispensable in the rapidly growing and changing dynamics of the world. She emphasised the vitality of equipping civil staff with the relevant skills and knowledge.
Towards the end, Director of HIPA, Shri C.P. Verma spoke about the role of technology in the delivery of administrative services. He talked about the invention of Aadhar card system, how it composes information and delivers public services.
The weeklong training will also include a session by the Director of HIPA.
