Dharamshala: The new President and Vice President of the 11th Local Tibetan Assembly of the Bir Tibetan Society (Bir Botsok), Tsewang Rabgyal and Khyentse Sherab, officially sworn in on 24 March 2025. The oath was administered by the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of Northern Region, Choekyi.
The virtual swearing in ceremony was organised by local Election Commissioner Karma Namgyal, who is also the Tibetan Settlement Officer of Bir Tibetan Society, at the settlement office’s hall.
Prior to the commencement of the oath-taking, Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of Northern Region Choekyi provided a brief self-introduction and explained the Tibetan charter related to oath-taking, as well as the electoral regulations.
