Paris: A discussion on ‘Finding the path for future Tibet’ was held on 29 November by the Volunteer Tibet Advocacy Group under the lead of the Office of Tibet, Paris. The guest speakers invited were Canadian resident scholar Gyal Lo and youth activist Chemi Lhamo as per the request of the advocacy group who expressed keen interest in the subject based on the experiences and knowledge of the two.
Scholar Gyal Lo addressed the gathering on the extent the Tibetans inside Tibet relied on Tibetans in exile and the preservation of Tibetan language and culture. Youth activist Chemi Lhamo shared her life history as a Tibetan youth and the huge responsibility that rests upon each individual thereby. Thereafter, the Chithue urged Tibetan youth to work hard and participate in the Tibet advocacy programmes. It concluded with a question-and-answer session.
There were around 20 participants who attended the discussion.
