London: The Office of Tibet, London organised two days training from 12- 13 February 2020 on Influencing Parliament and how to report on outcome and impact data to 12 representatives from Tibetan charities/ organisation in London including staffs of Office of Tibet.
The day one training helps charities refresh their knowledge of parliamentary processes, procedures and how to make an impact in the parliament. The course covers how to get your issue on the agenda in parliament, requirements of charity law and lobbying act and how best to build relationships with the parliamentarians. The training was given by Christ Walker, public affairs manager, NCVO (National Council of Voluntary Organization), one of the largest voluntary organizations in the UK.
At the day two training, the participants learned about how to make the most of outcomes and impact data to deliver compelling and useful reports to different audiences. The course covers reporting goals, data analysis, data evaluation and tools and strategy for good presentation of traditional reporting. The training was given by Ms Radmila Evanics, NCVO Charities Evaluation Services Consultant.
The two days training course was very informative, useful and interesting to all the participants.
