Taipei: The Office of Tibet (OoT) – Taiwan took part in the 31st Taipei International Book Exhibition at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall by displaying publications of its affiliate Gangjong Publication from 31 January to 5 February 2023.
On the book fair’s final day, Representative Kelsang Gyalsten Bawa presented Tibet’s geography and society by explaining the history, landforms, religion, culture, and the current political status of Tibet to the spectators amassed before the OoT’s booth who were keen on inquiring more information. Similarly, Tashi Tsering, the President of the Tibetan Association in Taiwan, spoke about the Tibet cause.
The six-day Taipei International Book Exhibition was participated by 470 publishers from 33 countries. Around 700 writers and intellects gave talks during the book fair, which saw a record number of spectators compared to previous years.
