
Dharamshala: The leadership and civil servants of the Central Tibetan Administration held a memorial service this afternoon to mourn the demise of Wangdue Tsering, the official driver at the Office of Tibet in Nepal who passed away in the evening of Sunday, 9 July at Jampaling settlement in Pokhara.

Brief bio of the deceased:
Wangdue Tsering was born on 27 December 1983 at the Jampaling settlement in Pokhara to Choedak Dawa and Karchen. He completed his schooling at Namgyal High School.
On 1 March 2012, Wangdue was appointed as the driver of the Lodrik settlement office on probation before being appointed as a permanent employee there on 25 September 2012. On 30 December 2021, he was transferred to the Office of Tibet in Nepal. He was on a half-paid sick leave from 22 May 2023-18 September 2023. He is survived by his only daughter.
