Luxembourg: Ven. Thupten Wangchen, Member of the 16th Tibetan Parliament led a successful awareness campaign in Luxembourg as part of the ‘Dialogue for Peace’ tour of 30 European countries.
Ms Passang Dolma and a group of Tibetans received him as he arrived from Brussels and hosted him a luncheon. Venerable Wangchen then had a brief meeting with the Luxembourg Tibetans with whom he discussed the details of the ‘Dialogue for Peace’ campaign. There are not more than about four Tibetan families in Luxembourg.
Later, the group led by MP Thupten Wangchen undertook a city tour where they displayed the emblem of the tour and the Votive Lamp with a Dove atop at major sites prominently to garner public awareness to the campaign.
In the evening a dinner was arranged at Sherpa restaurant in honour of the ‘Dialogue for Peace’ tour which was attended by many friends of Tibet.
Ven. Wangchen spoke to the gathering on the purpose of the tour. It was received with much attention and interest.
The facilitation was organised by Ms Passang Dolma at the request of Office of Tibet, Brussels.
