Shimla: The Chairman, Vice Chairman and members of the 9th Shimla Local Tibetan Assembly were sworn in at a brief ceremony held on 11 August 2019.

The Tibetan Local Justice Commissioner for the northern region, Lhadruk administered the oath to newly-elected Chairman Tenzin Yeshi, Vice Chairman Namdol Yarphel and 5 members of the 9th Shimla Local Tibetan Assembly.

The Local Justice Commissioner Lhadruk also addressed members of the Shimla Tibetan settlement on the ‘Responsibility, Power and Jurisdiction of Tibetan Supreme Justice Commission and of all the three pillars of Tibetan democratic administration’ – in accordance with the Charter for Tibetans in exile.
