Bylakuppe: At the request of the Tibetan Children’s Village School in Bylakuppe, the Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of Southern Region conducted a legal awareness campaign for 54 students of grade VIII on 5 October 2024.

The students, who were on an education tour, were led by their Social Science teacher, Dawa Dhondup.

The Local Tibetan Justice Commissioner of the Southern Region, Phuntsok Palden, provided an overview of the Tibetan Judiciary in exile, outlining both the higher and lower levels. He further provided details about the Tibetan Justice Commission’s Code of Civil Procedure’s principal law and provided a detailed guideline on the different types of evidence, admissibility of evidence, the veracity of witnesses, examination of witnesses, and the standard of proof.
