Hazaribagh: India Tibet Friendship Society (ITFS) Hazaribagh celebrated the 33rd birthday of 11th Panchen Lama of Tibet on 25 April at Bara Bazaar in Hazaribagh (Jharkhand). During the birthday commemoration, ITFS members led by President Shri Sudesh Kumar Chandravanshi offered their prayers and greetings to 11th Panchen Lama.
Shri Sudesh Kumar, in his address, stressed that His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama recognised Gedhun Choekyi Nyima, born on 25 April 1989, as the reincarnation of the 10th Panchen Lama on 14 May 1995. However, just three days after his recognition, the Chinese government kidnapped 11th Panchen Lama on 17 May and his entire family went missing while the Chinese government installed another boy in his place, which is very sad and unfortunate. He further said that 11th Panchen Lama is the youngest political prisoner in the world, and the Chinese government must free him immediately from their captivity. Shri Sudesh Kumar prayed that the 11th Panchen Lama stays healthy and live a long life. At the same time, he also hoped and wished that we all get to see him soon.
ITFS Hazaribagh Patron Dr B. K. Singh said, “11th Panchen Lama is the rightful Guru of Tibetan people who had been appointed by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and the Chinese government must immediately release him and his family from their captivity”.
ITFS District General Secretary Shri Ajit Kumar Chandravanshi, Shri Shyam Kishore Prasad, Shri Ajay Kumar Singh, Shri Surendra Sinha, Shri Upendra Sinha, Shri Anil Kumar Singh, Shri Shailesh Kumar Chandravanshi and other members also attended the event.
All the members of ITFS Hazaribagh demanded in unison that the Chinese government immediately release Panchen Lama and his entire family for the good of all.
