Kamrao: Kamrao Gapa Tibetan Settlement Road Renovation and Retaining Wall Project funded by the Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) Dharamshala for the Financial Year 2020-21 was successfully implemented by the Tibetan Settlement Office despite the Wuhan originated Covid-19 pandemic.
Honourable Home Kalon Khorlatsang Sonam Topgyal presided over the inauguration virtually, joined by Home Secretary, Mrs Tsewang Dolma Shosur and Settlement officer, Mr Rapten Tsering on 21 October.
Settlement officer, Mr Rapten Tsering highlighted the aims and objectives of the project and extended gratitude to CTA for the funding. He said that the project had fulfilled the wishes of the settlers and would also benefit the locals.
Home Secretary, Mrs Tsewang Dolma Shosur inaugurated the Road Renovation and Retaining Wall Project officially, delivering her valuable address to the audience via virtual meet. The inaugural ceremony was concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Mrs Tseten Bhuti Drawu, former Tibetan Parliament in exile (TPiE) cum President of Kamrao Gapa Tibetan Welfare Society.
