
Teachers Training in B.Ed in Tibetan
DHARAMSHALA:Kalon Dr Pema Yangchen of the department of education, inaugurated a one and a half year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) training in Tibetan at the College for Higher Tibetan Studies based in Sarah on 2 July. The training was organised by the education department of Central Tibetan Administration as per the Basic Education Policy for Tibetan exiles.
The inaugural session of the training was attended by Principal of Sarah College and trainers of the training. Mr. Tsering Samdup, Director of Education Council, delivered the welcome speech with introduction of the training followed by self introductory of the participants.
Education Kalon emphasized on the importance of teachers training, prioritise on one and a half year teachers training, and spoke about positive changes to be made on teaching method in accordance with modern period of time, requirements of qualified teachers and significance of having moral values in teachers besides being an intellect.
The event was concluded with word of thanks by Deputy Secretary Mr. Tsedup Tenphel. Training of Bachelors of Education in Tibetan is funded by USAID.
