BYLAKUPPE: Tibet Corps Project and Tibetan Solidarity Alliance Program Officer Ms Tenzin Nyima conducted an official tour of Tibetan Settlements in South India from 22 June to 2 July 2017 to create public awareness about Tibetan Solidarity Alliance (Blue Book) and to gain maximum support from non-Tibetans and friends of Tibet for the Tibetan cause and community. The tour has been successful in covering four monasteries in Bylakuppe and six in Mundgod Tibetan Settlement (including a nunnery) where she effectively gave awareness talks to the large gatherings followed by Q & A session. The tour has succeeded in registering an incredibly large number of new membership sign-up for the Solidarity Alliance for Tibet and Tibetan community. The process of signing up for new membership in both the settlements is still underway, as the Officer has guided them how to enroll new members and asked the settlements to continue.
“Any non-Tibetan who wants to support Tibet can apply for Tibetan Solidarity Alliance membership. Voluntarily joining the Tibetan Solidarity Alliance is a mark of your continuing support for the Tibetan cause and an expression of your spirit for the Tibetans in and outside Tibet,” she said.
From 3 to 5 July, the officer visited the Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education Studies in Bangalore where she gave talk on Tibet Corps program, its aims and importance and etc to more than 70 final year college students and in Tibetan Youth Hostel for more than 100 college going students in Bangalore.
