28th June 2023, Bengaluru: Having survived a triple bomb blast in three luxury hotels that took place on the Easter Day in Sri Lanka in 2019, one would have not imagined that life could come across such miracle that are not confined by fate or destiny. This is what exactly happened in the tide of Dr. K.J.Purshotham’s life that he was airlifted from Ceylon and hospitalised in the ICU section of Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru where he underwent several diagnosis and treatments.
After his discharge from the hospital, he struggled to stand upon his feet and knew that the road ahead would be an uphill task. Undeterred by this, he kept struggling while doctors suggested him to consult an osteopath. Sonam Choedon, a Tibetan and an osteopath, hailing from Kollegal Tibetan Settlement nursed Dr. Purshotham through his ailments.
Dr. Purshotham states that this is his second life and shares that there were also those images of memory especially when His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave him blessings during an entrepreneur’s meet in Bengaluru in 2015. As a leading entrepreneur in Karnataka and Honorary Consul of Macedonia he has restrengthened his life’s mission to help the downtrodden and impoverished section of human society. Particularly, he has dedicated himself to support against injustices from political to social domain and from economic to environmental issues.
Being hugely supportive of Tibetan communities in exile in Bengaluru, his long cherished dream and prayer was fulfilled when Dr. Purshotham and his delegation team were blessed with a blissful audience with His Holiness the Dalai Lama on Tuesday, 27th June 2023 at Mcleod Ganj. According to Dr.Purshotham, “when His Holiness held my hand to touch upon His Holiness’ forehead it was a moment of spellbound and a lightning went through my entire body which is absolutely not able for me to interpret in common man’s expression”. For this blissful moment, Dr. Purshotham expresses his gratitude especially to Private Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in granting this audience and Department of Home and its officials for hosting him and his delegation members.
