Dharamshala: His Holiness the Dalai Lama received a warm welcome in Dharamshala after a successful visit to Delhi and Aurangabad this morning. Speaker Pema Jungney, Officiating President Ven Karma Gelek Yuthok, welcomed His Holiness at Kangra airport near Dharamshala.
Tibetans and well-wishers turned out in the streets leading up to the main temple to welcome him home.
During his two-day visit to Delhi, His Holiness participated in Tushita’s 40th anniversary and 12th Dharma celebration and delivered a lecture on ‘overcoming anger and anxiety’ to over thousands of people, including students from over 20 schools in and around Delhi. His Holiness also unveiled the new daily inspiration book composed of his written work at the event.
The next day, His Holiness the Dalai Lama commemorated the 24th memorial day of Dr. Sarvepali Radhakrishnan, the Philosopher President of India(1962-1967) and the founder of Indian Institute of Advanced Study at the India International Centre. There His Holiness gave a talk on “Universal Ethic.” Later that day, His Holiness the Dalai Lama flew from Delhi to Aurangabad.
During his stay in Aurangabad, His Holiness briefly met with media representatives at the International Bhikkhu Training Centre. The following day, His Holiness the Dalai Lama gave Buddhist teaching at the request of Lokuttara International Bhikkhu Training Center at the Sports Stadium of the P.E.S. College of Physical Education Aurangabad, Maharashtra, India.
