Dharamshala: On 24 August 2025, the newly elected members of the 11th Local Tibetan Assembly of Herbertpur were sworn in. The oath was administered by Chokey, the Local Justice Commissioner of the Northern Region.

The program began with a gathering that included the elected members, Settlement Officer cum Local Election Commissioner Dolma Tsering, and 9 out of the 11 newly elected members. Among them, Gyaltsen and Tenzin Sonam were elected as President and Vice President of the new Assembly, respectively.

Following the swearing-in ceremony, the Local Justice Commissioner conducted a legal awareness campaign for an audience of 40 participants. The audience included the Tibetan Settlement Officer, the new members of the Local Tibetan Assembly, staff from the Settlement Office, and local Tibetan residents. The session focused on the evolution of Tibetan democracy in exile, as well as the legal system and judicial processes.
