Sikkim: On 19 August 2024, the Chairman of the Gangtok Tibetan Local Assembly, the Settlement Officer, and the leaders of six major NGOs, accompanied by a female representative, visited the office of newly appointed Sikkim Governor Om Prakash Mathu to extend their congratulations. They presented him with traditional Tibetan white scarves. Additionally, in celebration of Raksha Bandhan, two Tibetan women tied Rakhi (amulets) as part of the festivities.
