Paris: The Office of Tibet in Paris, in collaboration with the French Senate Tibet Support Group, convened a commemoration of the 89th Birth Anniversary of His Holiness the Dalai Lama at Les Salons Tournon in the French Senate with around 58 distinguished guests.
A series of distinguished guests attended the grand celebration, including President of the French Senate Tibet Support Group, Senator Jacqueline Eustache-Brinio, as the chief guest. Also in attendance were Kalu Rinpoche, Ven. Thich Quang Dao (President of the Khanh Anh Buddhist Association), and representatives of the Taipei Representative Office in France Madam Elodie Ting-Hsuan Wei and Madam Rosita Wang.
Europe-based Tibetan parliamentarian Thupten Gyatso, Representative Rigzin Choedon Genkhang from the Bureau du Tibet in Brussels, Coordinator Thupten Tsering from the Bureau du Tibet in Paris, Pema Rigzin, President of the Tibetan Community, as well as the presidents of other regional Tibetan Associations and members of the Tibet Support Groups also partook in the celebration.
Upon the conclusion of the chief guest’s address, Representative Rigzin Choedon extended her greetings to the assembled guests of the auspicious occasion. She then apprised the gathering about His Holiness’ life accomplishments and also introduced the four noble commitments of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, thereby concluding the event.
