Dharamshala: The Public Service Commission inaugurated the first capacity-building training post-covid-19 pandemic at the conference room of the Tibetan Computer Resource Centre located inside Sikyong hall or the T-building of the CTA. The training titled “Financial Skills Development training for CTA Accountants is scheduled from 13-24 June 2022.
In his inaugural address, the Chairman of Public Service Commission, Wangdu Tsering Pesur spoke about the objective and purpose of the training and also highlighted the role and importance of accountants in the governance of CTA. He also narrated the invention of Tally and how it helps in keeping and managing daily transactions.
Tsering Yangkey, Secretary, talked about the need and importance of conducting in-house training using in-house resources including the trainers. Sensing and understanding the role and responsibilities of accountants, she said that the training sessions are being held in the morning periods so that the accountants can get back to their work in the afternoon.
She further introduced the training topics and the trainers. The officiating Secretary of Finance Department Tenzin Legdrup and the Head of the Budget Section Namgyal Gendun will touch upon the CTA accounting rules and relevant guidelines, CTA Budget, Interim sanction and Reappropriation. The duo resource persons will also cover budgetary topics like incorporation of transactions in concord with rules & regulations and find the best possible solutions for the problems.
Kunchok Wangdu, the Joint Secretary of the Audit Commission will explain Audit report and its relevant aspects and also accounting and its various concepts.
The inaugural session winded up with a vote of thanks by the training officer, Tashi Dekyi.
