Delhi: Sherig Parkhang Trust held its 48th Board of Trustees meeting chaired by Kalon Dr. Pema Yangchen, Department of Education and Vice Chairman Kasur Ngodup Dongchung on 11 March.
Other dignitaries include Deputy Speaker Acharya Yeshi Phuntsok, Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile, DoE Secretary Jigmey Namgyal, Tibetan Welfare Officer Phuntsok Topgyal, Sherig Parkhang Director, Lobsang Kunchok Bhakdo, Secretary Tenzin Lhagoe and Shepar Chief Accountant Tamding Dorjee.
During the meeting, sanction for the annual budget of Rs. 3,34,65,156.60 for the financial year 2021-2022 was granted. Also, among many other agendas, a draft report on revised rules & regulations of Sherig Parkhang Trust was presented for discussion. After deliberations, the revised rules & regulation were finalised by the Trustee members.
Sherig Parkhang, since its inception, has published various Buddhist scriptures, school level textbooks & other general books in large scale. Noticeable published scriptures are Boom, a Kangyur, Tengyur, Sungboom, to name a few. Till now three editions of Tengyur 213 Volumes have been published by Shepar and the 4th edition of Tengyur will be computerized based on the master copy of Derge Press of Tibet.
Following the guidance and vision of the Central Tibetan Administration of self-reliance, it has always been Sherig Parkhang’s endeavour to work towards self-survival & mutual support among our Tibetan communities. Sherig Parkhang being sole publisher of various Tibetan Buddhist scriptures besides textbooks & other general books, request all departments, NGO’s, monasteries and other organizations to place their printing, including distribution, related orders with us.
