DHARAMSHALA: The Education Council of the Department of Education, Central Tibetan Administration, organised a three-day (24 – 26 July) review meeting of Tibetan textbooks for classes 6 – 8 at College for Higher Tibetan Studies, Sarha.

The textbooks that are reviewed were part of the textbooks that were drafted as per the Basic Education Policy of the Central Tibetan Administration and distributed to Tibetan schools in 2012. As resolved, the textbooks are reviewed after every six years and this review meeting was part of that resolution.

The review meeting was attended by Mr Tsering Samdup, Director of Education Council, Mr Ngodup Tenpa, Mr Gedun Dhonyoe, Mr Tashi Dorjee, Mr Ajam from Sarha College, Mr Mingchung from Upper TCV, Mr Ngawang Jampa from Lower TCV and Mr Jampa Tashi from Sambhota Tibetan school.
