
Dharamshala: The Department of Information and International Relations (DIIR) concluded its three-day Middle Way Policy Awareness workshop with significant focus on the Middle Way Policy talk by Tenzin Lekshay, Additional Secretary of DIIR for outgoing students of Sarah College on Friday, 13 December 2024.
Tenzin Lekshay delivered an extensive presentation that comprehensively explored the nature and evolution of the Middle Way Policy. His talk provided participants with details on the policy’s adoption by the Tibetan Parliament in Exile through a unanimous resolution.
Key highlights of the presentation included detailed discussion of the memorandum, explaination of the democratic process in adopting the policy, insights into the CTA’s approach to resolving Tibetan conflict. He urged young participants to focus more deeply on Tibetan issues, understand their historical responsibilities, utilise their knowledge and education as a means of advocacy.
The workshop featured an interactive question-and-answer session where Lekshay addressed participant queries, clearing doubts and providing nuanced insights into the Middle Way Policy.
Participants found the workshop highly informative and interactive. The program included comprehensive readings on the Middle Way Policy, including books and articles, and provided in-depth insights into the situation inside Tibet.
The three-day training concluded with participants gaining extensive knowledge about the Middle Way Policy, its historical context, and its significance in addressing Tibetan issues. The workshop was conducted by Tenzin Palmo and Rinchen of DIIR.
