Dharamshala: The Tibetan Settlement Officer of Dharamshala, Kunchok Migmar, joined the Deputy Commissioner (DC), along with the Commissioner of the Municipal Corporation Dharamshala, staff from the Forests Department, staff from the Public Works Department, and the Station House Officer (SHO) of McLeod Ganj, conducted a joint inspection of ongoing developments in McLeod Ganj.
During the day-long visit, the Tibetan Settlement Officer raised several concerns, including traffic issues, road damage, and inadequate street lighting. In response, the Deputy Commissioner instructed the relevant teams to prioritise and complete the pending works.
Following the McLeod Ganj inspection, the Tibetan Settlement Officer invited the officers to the CTA (Central Tibetan Administration) gate, where concerns were raised regarding taxi parking in front of the gate. This parking issue disrupts the movement of the CTA’s officer motorcade and VIP movements inside the CTA premises.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the Municipal Corporation to find a suitable solution, specifically by constructing a separate parking area near the CTA. The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the Settlement Officer to submit a detailed plan for this project by 15 January 2025.
